This 6 ounce jar gives the European canning style a West Coast twist. Glass-packed European products are pre-cooked and then packed in olive oil. Essential fatty acids and the delicious juice of the raw fish are lost before the fish is packed in the jar. Our fancy jarred albacore fillet is raw packed, trapping in the jar, all the flavor and nutrition of this super-food. It is ironic that much of the Spanish glass-packed albacore that is imported into the U.S. is actually high quality Oregon caught albacore that Carvalho Fisheries and other producers export to Spain. With our glass jarred albacore fillet, we have streamlined the process, employed Americans, and produced a superior product as well.
